We hope everyone has made the most of this experience.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span>&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><em><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.escolacristiana.org\/pac\/files\/2014\/06\/DSC_0002-150x150.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-1580 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.escolacristiana.org\/pac\/files\/2014\/06\/DSC_0002-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"DSC_0002-150x150\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nPatxi is a nineteen year-old boy who has spent six months with us. In December, he started to work in our school\u00a0 as a conversation assistant, with children who are 3 to 12 years old.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><em>He came to Spain because he wanted to practise Spanish and Catalan so, he was born in Girona and was living there till the age of 10.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><em>Patxi\u00b4s work consisted on taking small groups of boys and girls and practising English with them. Sometimes he stayed in the classroom with the teacher and talked about any topic: a unit of science, England or one of his experiences. The result of having a conversation assistant is that our students have improved their speaking and listening skills a lot.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><em><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-1581\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.escolacristiana.org\/pac\/files\/2014\/06\/Foto-06-06-14-11-26-28.jpg\" alt=\"Foto 06-06-14 11 26 28\" width=\"277\" height=\"207\" srcset=\"http:\/\/blogs.escolacristiana.org\/pac\/files\/2014\/06\/Foto-06-06-14-11-26-28.jpg 277w, http:\/\/blogs.escolacristiana.org\/pac\/files\/2014\/06\/Foto-06-06-14-11-26-28-150x112.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 277px) 100vw, 277px\" \/>\u00a0Patxi is loved by eveyone in the school, not only by the children. The teachers are really happy to work with him. He is very enthusiastic, he wants to do his work the best he can\u00a0 and wants to participate in all the celebrations and activities organized at school.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><em>Along these months, we have noticed that he enjoys working with children. Every morning he arrives at work with a huge smile. This allowed me to research a bit more about their curriculum and what kind of work they did, so as to get a better picture of how I could help. Getting to know the school wasn\u2019t hard; a small five floor building\/church which was originally inhabited by nuns. The teachers were very friendly and welcoming, and very soon I was settled in and ready to teach.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.escolacristiana.org\/pac\/files\/2014\/06\/2014-02-05-11.27.36-150x150.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-1579\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.escolacristiana.org\/pac\/files\/2014\/06\/2014-02-05-11.27.36-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"2014-02-05-11.27.36-150x150\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>During my time in the school I have been given support from the English Teacher, be it support with teaching ideas\/materials or simple support from all the teachers about my residing town and the possible activities to do.<\/p>\n<p>I was invited to several of the dinners organised by the teachers, and I was also given the opportunity to go with the school on the Colonies (camping) which allowed me to further develop my skills working with children.
